Unity is a gaming engine used to create professional 2D and 3D games.
Students will learn how to get started making games with Unity 2D. This workshop will teach new designers how to start making games with no prior coding experience (previous experience is a plus!)
Half Day: In this workshop you will learn how to create a first person character controller, basic computer controlled AI “agents”, interactive objects, a user interface, and how to build your game to Web and PC platforms. Half day participants are released at 12:30 p.m.
Full Day: After a morning of learning the classroom will be transformed into an arcade and gaming lounge. The students can relax and enjoy an interactive gaming experience with modern and retro game consoles as well as organized game play.
Full day participants are released at 4:00 p.m.
Light Snacks provided:
Lunch is not included for either half day or full day but light snacks will be provided throughout the day.
( snacks may include chips, fruit, water, coffee, tea, fruit juice or soda ). Please inform the coordinators of any food allergies.
